The fall is a time to reflect and prepare; a time to turn more inwards away from the Yang fire of the summer months, to a calmer, yin fall season. In the autumn, Traditional Chinese Medicine promotes the lung and large intestine meridian lines to ensure that sufficient heat is drawn inward and downward, preventing imbalances that may occur in the colder months.
In our Fall Equinox Yin practice we will begin with poses to stimulate the stomach and spleen meridians of the late summer and transition to poses stimulating lung and large intestine to connect our bodies with nature and bring balance to our bodies and our minds. We will close our practice with a guided mindfulness meditation to support a season of reflection and preparation.
