Massage & Bodywork Spotlight: Shiatsu Shin Tai with Susan Watson

"The change that is occurring in the world needs to start with raising our individual awareness and recognition of our divinity and oneness with humanity.  Whether they are the impetus for the growth or the integration and bridge that takes one from one state of being to another, energy practices can be an important part of transformation and wellness. The one thing that all people have in common is the desire to feel well and enjoy life.  However the fast pace of life and its constant demands to achieve results and to “keep-up” create an environment that generates physical, emotional and psychological stress.

What is Shiatsu Shin Tai & How can it help us?

Shiatsu Shin Tai is based on the basic principle of restoring motion to the body.  Movement means life.  Life Force/energy gets trapped in the body from emotional, physical and psychological trauma and everyday stressors thereby creating patterns of behavior.  As patterns are created and life force is held we have less and less to create our lives from.  Life Force Recovery is a system of working from a priority of treatment with various techniques to restore that energy to the persons primary information system.  This enables the client to have more energy/life force to create their life.

You can expect to feel many different sensations with Shin Tai work from light touch to deeper penetrating touch, causing a sense of deep relaxation.  This work builds upon itself as the body learns to relax, breathe, trust and open to a deeper response, restoring movement to your body and your life.

Central Channel Work - this is a protocol to identify the priority of treatment and to access the primary information system.  This then allows the client to receive more present time information in their life.

Governing Vessel and Conception Vessel - The primary information system.  The governing vessel is called the directing meridian (energy pathway).  The conception vessel, the hara and hip structure are the core of the body.  GV and CV regulate all of the other meridians in the body.

Shin Tai Fascia Work  - fascia is a connective tissue that runs throughout the body in one sheet and has memory.  Fascia work releases trapped energy back into the system and is good for neuro-muscular pain.

Structural Alignment  - working with the hip structure and with hip mobility toallow for more energy movement.

Shin Tai Cranial Work - working with the cranial sacral rhythm and the cranial sutures when the body is in a higher vibrational state of resonance.  This allows the body to make self corrections in its system.

Chakra Work  - this is an off the body technique that helps to integrate the chakra centers at their core, helping the organs and energy system

Experiencing this bodywork can support you in having more energy, creativity  and an overall sense of well-being and can be an important and integrated part of any wellness program.
