My company recently arranged for a virtual 'Guided Meditation' session with Lance from Village Wellness, and I'm so thankful they did! I struggle with ADD and tend to have a very 'noisy' brain even in normal circumstances. Now, with the current stress and anxiety related to COVID-19, I've had increased difficultly focusing on tasks, both professional and personal. As Lance led our group through some basics of meditation (being still, at ease and aware), I absolutely felt my mind and body calm down, which was awesome! His way of leading and encouraging us through the process was easy to understand, even to a first-timer like myself. I absolutely plan to incorporate this technique into my daily routine, and hope that my company might provide additional sessions to us in the future so I can learn more. I went to see Gabrielle for a private acupuncture session last week to address my issue with teeth grinding. She spent a long time checking in with me, talking about my concerns and asking me questions. She even demonstrated the path that energy takes through a few meridian lines that run through my face - neat!

The highlights for me were: the amount of one on one time I got to with her, the calming and deep caring energy I felt from her,  the knowledge she held about acupuncture and the meridian lines for the jaw, the quick relief of the tightness I had in my jaw, the deep relaxation I felt after the session AND the cold that was creeping up went away (yay!).

I totally understand the value of a private acupuncture session over a community session now (until now I have only received a community session). Both are super healing, but the private session offers time for deep inquiry into health issues and concerns, asking questions and more time to be cared for one on one. I can't say enough wonderful things about Village wellness. I have been to many accupuncture places over the years and have never had the results that I have had here.
