Staying Well in light of the Coronavirus- Holistic and Preventative Care

In light of the growing concerns about the Coronavirus. the following are some holistic and preventative care suggestions to take into account in addition to any advice you receive from your trusted medical source.

Choose who you listen to

Firstly, please listen to the advice of a physician you trust and not those spreading fear or incorrect information. Im not saying to not be cautious or aware - but get the facts and advice from trusted medical sources, not a random guy on Facebook.

Prioritize Wellness.

Whether we are talking about the Flu, a cold, or other virus or bacterial infection, you are more susceptible if you are run down, overwhelmed, stressed out, and dehydrated. Taking care of your basic needs will go along way to preventing illness in general.

The Basics of Preventative Care and staying well

  • Get 8 hours of sleep

  • Eat the rainbow - meaning enjoy a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.

  • Move your body aerobically for a minimum of 5 hours/ week

  • Practice good hygiene - Wash your hands well with soap and water for 20 seconds before and after, eating, going to the bathroom, touching your face, etc.

  • Practice stress reduction and release overwhealm. - if you need help with this, any of the Village Wellness practitioners can help you.
