Why Massage Is So Much More Than “Just Relaxation”
"The body says what words cannot." – Martha Graham
our extraordinary team of massage therapists at Village Wellness
I want to take a moment to brag.
I feel so lucky to work alongside some of the most genuine, thoughtful, and skilled healers. WOW.
I went for a stroll in the woods with Kevin, one of our massage therapists, recently. And somewhere in our talk, it hit me… massage therapists don't always get the spotlight they deserve.
We've all thought it: "Oh, massage will feel nice… a little fluff and buff, a little relaxation."
But with the right practitioner? The healing runs deep.
More Than Relaxation
Kevin reminded me that integrative massage therapy goes far beyond relaxation. It's about understanding not only the body, but the person as a whole, listening to what's held in the muscles and tissues, and meeting each person exactly where they are. It's intuitive, it's intentional, and it takes years of study, practice, and genuine care to do it well.
Sometimes what they're working with isn't just a tight shoulder or a sore back…
It's stress that's been held for months.
Grief that hasn't had space to move.
A nervous system that hasn't felt safe enough to fully exhale.
And somehow, through presence, skill, and care… they help unwind all of that.
Here's what I hear from clients again and again:
"I didn't realize how much I needed that."
"I feel like myself again."
"Something shifted… not just physically."
That's the magic.
Meet Our Massage Team
We have three extraordinary therapists here at Village Wellness, and each one brings something truly special.
Megan Kelly
Megan is a Holistic Health Counselor, Naturopathic Practitioner, Yoga Teacher, and Energy Worker with over 500 hours of training. Her signature offering is Vedic Thai Yoga Massage, an ancient healing practice rooted in Ayurveda that blends assisted yoga postures, rhythmic stretching, and mindful touch.
You stay fully clothed, settle onto a mat, and Megan essentially does yoga with you and for you, opening the body's energy channels and leaving you feeling deeply rejuvenated. If you're looking to reconnect with your body, your breath, and yourself on every level, Megan is your person.

Bodhi Jaguar
Bodhi has been practicing massage therapy for over ten years, and her love for this work shines through in every session. As a Usui Reiki Master, Foot Reflexologist, Lymphatic Drainage Practitioner, and initiate of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition of Peruvian Shamanism, Bodhi brings a rare depth to her sessions.
Her Integrative Massage draws from Deep Tissue, Swedish, Myofascial Release, and energy work, all woven together intuitively and tailored to your body's needs in the moment. Clients consistently describe her sessions as "transcendent,""the best massage of my life," and "exactly what my body needed."
As Bodhi puts it herself: everything she does comes through the heart and hands of unconditional love.

Kevin Arba
Kevin is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Astrologer, Certified NLP Practitioner, and Life Coach, and his sessions are unlike anything else we offer. His Integrative Pain Relief and Recovery Massage blends advanced therapeutic techniques to ease tension, improve mobility, and support the body's natural healing process.
For those who want to go even deeper, Kevin often weaves in astrological insight and life coaching too. His own healing journey began in 2012, and that personal transformation is the foundation of everything he offers. Whether you come in with a tight back or a heavy heart, his intention is always the same: help you release what no longer serves and reconnect with your truth.

Three different styles. One common thread: they care. A lot.
A Thank You
To Kevin, Megan, Bodhi, and every healer who shows up with their whole heart: thank you. For the quiet, powerful work you do every single day. For the people who leave your table feeling more like themselves.
We are so lucky to have you.
Is Your Body Asking for Attention?
If your body has been whispering (or flat-out yelling) for some attention lately, this might be your sign.
Massage doesn't have to be a luxury. It can be part of how you take care of yourself, regularly, intentionally, over time.
And if you've worked with one of our therapists before, I'd love to hear from you. Who did you see? What did you notice afterward? Leave a comment below or reach out directly. I read every one.
