Community Yoga and Meditation
We all need our solitude,
and yoga and meditation are both great portals into conscious, healing “alone
time”. Group yoga classes offer the
added benefit of communal sacred
solitude in which students energetically connect through shared movement and
relaxation.
Often though, we need more
than shared quietness – we need to talk and be heard. We need to vocalize our intentions and
discuss the challenges of mindful living with others who are on similar
journeys. It is helpful to have someone
hold us accountable for our personal / spiritual goals and ask us how we are
doing along the way.
Our Thursday evening
community yoga and meditation class at Wayne Family Wellness, offers time and
space for both quite contemplation and facilitated group discussion. Each class begins with a teaching and time
for sharing, followed by movement, relaxation, and meditation. The evening concludes with a group check-in
and individual intention setting.
The class is great for
students with all levels of experience.
Depending on the needs of the class, the yoga postures range from gentle
stretching to semi-vigorous sequences to longer held yin poses.
