Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness based stress reduction is made up of a powerful set of tools to help those of us who are overwhelmed reduce stress, anxiety, depression and pain.
Mindfulness can be understood as the non-judgmental acceptance and investigation of present experience, including body sensations, internal mental states, thoughts, emotions, impulses and memories, in order to reduce suffering or distress and to increase well-being.
What is a session like?
The initial session will include an assessment to learn about you and what areas of your life you’re looking to reduce stress. Together we will create a customized plan of practices to reduce stressors that are individualized to seamlessly fit into your schedule.
During the initial and followup sessions we will explore various techniques to support your specific needs. Some of these techniques include, mindfulness meditation, body awareness techniques, yogic practices, the the exploration of patterns of behavior, thinking, feeling and action.

How many sessions should I have?
Just one session can change be a powerful support!
We will know more after your initial session. However, the average client will come in for 4-6 weekly sessions and then begin to spread treatments out to every other week and eventually monthly.
