ELLEN JILL FREUDBERG, BFA
Certified Wellness Coach
I was born in Philadelphia and grew up in suburban Cheltenham. I studied art therapy at The Hartford Art School. I received a B.F.A. in art history and painting from the Philadelphia College of Art. I am passionate about art, music, yoga, nature, acupuncture, nutrition, massage, skin care, and travel. I live in Wayne with my husband.
In 1980 I became an interior designer and worked hard to help people enjoy their living spaces in healthy ways with feng shui. I started transcendental meditation 43 years ago and have never stopped. I have been practicing yoga for 25 years and Pilates for 11.
I have always been intensely drawn to helping others in one way or another. After a very traumatic experience in the late 1980s, I became a health freak. During my journey (which continues to this very day) I discovered that if I can learn to be healthy, I can help other people do the same -- and share my experiences to guide them into being their best possible selves.
Later in life, I became a certified wellness coach. I so enjoy motivating people to grow into healthier, happier, more fulfilled beings. Believe me, if I did it, so can almost anyone. By striving to make health their hobby, people notice right away that they are beginning to make more insightful choices more often. And they find that a state of well being is easier to achieve than might be imagined. In my wellness coaching practice, I guide, support and encourage clients every step of the way, whether it’s about food, exercise, meditating, breathing or getting into true balance with themselves. It really is possible to find an enjoyable way to eat well and live longer, happier and healthier.
My goal at Village Wellness is to counsel clients to help them develop a “wellness state-of-mind” so that they can readily identify personal issues and learn to make good decisions about their physical, emotional and spiritual situation. When you live in a state of wellness, everything is in balance, there are fewer worries, more happiness and increased self-fulfillment.
