Spirit of the Acupuncture Points

Celestial Pillar - BL 10 天柱

Window of the sky point, Point of the Sea of Qi, Meeting point of the bladder, small intestine, gallbladder, and triple warmer channels.

Indications:

Physical Level

  • Head - Pain, and heaviness of the head, stiffness of the neck, pain of the shoulder and back, Dizziness,

  • Face -eye pain with redness, blurred vision, upward staring eyes, congestion, loss of smell

  • Neck - swelling of the throat, difficulty speaking

  • Dizzyness with the feeling like your feet are going to fail you, sudden muscular contractions

Emotional/Mental

  • mania with incessant talking

  • anxiety

  • tremors

  • seeing ghosts

Spirit Level

A powerful point for accessing our deep-rooted courage and inner-strength and reconnecting us with our bodies when we are feeling all in our head. This point can bring new perspectives and free our spirit.

Location:

On the neck, On the outside aspect of the trapezius muscle, 1.3 cun from the centerline. .5 cun below the hollow under the occipital protuberance (the bump at the base of your skull)

cun = anatomical inch. 1 cun is equal to the width of your thumb tip

How to Stimulate:

You can stimulate this point by gently massaging it directly with your finger for 30 seconds or until you are inspired to take a deep breath.
