I was born in South Africa and moved, with my family, to the States in 1986. Healing has been a passion for as long as I remember. In my younger years I wished to be a Medicine Man, a Witch Doctor. This wish eventually led me to receive a degree in Anthropology, the study of human cultures, from the University of Pittsburgh.
While in Pittsburgh, I had the opportunity to study Meditation, Qi Gong and various forms of healing. I began teaching Reiki, a form of energetic healing, in 1996 and continue to teach it and other forms of healing to this day. Through the years I have had the privilege of being a practitioner to thousands of people.
I have a passion for experiencing new cultures, people and the intense diversity of our amazing world. This passion has led me around the globe. My travels and encounters with extraordinary people and diverse cultures have deepened, enriched, and colored my experience of life.
I enrolled in the Tai Sophia Institute's three year Masters of Acupuncture Program after coming to know the Beauty and Power of Five Element Acupuncture through my own treatments. Everyday, with each of my patients, I am in awe of the transformation that acupuncture brings. This has created a passion for me in passing this healing possibility to as many people as I can!
When I read the book 'Plant Spirit Medicine' by Eliot Cowan, a Huichol Shaman, in 1999, I was immediately intrigued by the possibility of using plants to help restore balance at our deepest level. I went on to study this medicine with Eliot and feel honored to share it with my patients.
I began Kundalini Yoga in the winter of 2002 and it totally changed and enhanced my life. After some extraordinarily powerful experiences with this yoga, I decided to become a teacher so that I could share this amazing technology with those in my life. I joyfully extend my classes to all people regardless, of age, flexibility, shape, or size. My hope is that this ancient technology will enhance your life so that you can enhance the lives of those in your path.
I currently reside in Newtown Square, Pa with my wife Amy, daughter Luna and dog Nimbus.
My promise in life is to foster growth and creativity with joy and playfulness, to live right now to my fullest! To overflow with spirit, joy, compassion, outrageousness, creativity, brightness, wisdom and strength! And to be an inspiration and do whatever it takes to help others come to life most fully!
Thank you for this opportunity to be with you! My hope is that our paths cross again. Enjoy this amazing journey, may you know the Ecstasy of Love, the Depth of Power, and the Tingling Vibrations of Life along your way!

Licensed Acupuncturist
Acupuncture Detox Specialist (NADA)
In Practice Since 2009
When I was 22, my acupuncturist diagnosed me with a broken heart. I thought it was the most poetic thing I had ever heard and have been hooked on Chinese Medicine ever since.
While at the University of Connecticut, I studied Chinese language and culture, and received my Bachelors in English with a minor in Psychology. I received my Master of Science degree in Acupuncture from the New York campus of the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and studied at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, He Ping Li Hospital, Mei Tan Hospital and Tian Tan Hospital in Beijing, China.
In July 2012, I started working with Mirmont Treatment Center in Lima, PA, using the NADA protocol to help those in recovery, and I am currently enrolled in a four-year training program of self-transformation and healership at Inner Source Healing, a school of energetic healing arts.
I’ve seen acupuncture make a huge difference in people’s lives, from the simple reduction of pain to an increased quality of living. I believe that people should feel empowered to take control of their health and well-being. I practice “Pintuition”, a blend of intuitive reasoning, positive thinking and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I long to share my enthusiasm, my experience and my heart with all of you.

Holistic Psychotherapist, Licensed Social Worker,
Certified Domestic Violence Advocate,
Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, Certified Yoga Teacher
It is through relationship that we learn how to be, and thrive, and make our way in the world. From the moment we are born, our relational experiences with family, community, and nature become intimately intertwined with our physical and psychological development.
Sometimes, in childhood or adulthood, life and relationships get messy and we come out of balance. Maybe we begin suffering from anxiety or depression, struggle with bouts of panic, chronically dissociate, or experience a general sense of feeling lost and alone.
My commitment is to offer you an opportunity to find healing by re-experiencing relationship in a professional, supportive, and confidential context. It is a safe space that allows you to heal both psychologically and somatically so that you can come back into balance and thrive in your everyday life with yourself, your family, your community, and the world around you.
As a licensed social worker and a certified yoga teacher, I utilize an integrated relational psychodynamic / Gestalt approach to therapy. I incorporate yoga, relaxation, and mindfulness when it is deemed helpful, so that healing can be brought to the whole self.
My specific professional interests include trauma, PTSD, dissociation, anxiety, and panic. I am a certified domestic violence advocate and have received extensive training in providing trauma informed clinical care. I am also certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and use specific CBT techniques when helpful.
I am currently offering holistic psychotherapy for individuals ages 14 through adulthood and partners ages 18 and beyond.

Joana Iverson
Reiki Practitioner
I was born in Romania and moved to the US in 1985 with my family. Since I was very young I wanted the opportunity to help others in some meaningful way. This brought me to major in psychology, and I received my degree from Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. I have always had an interest in all types of alternative medicine and holistic modalities. I believe that wellness is based on the whole person, incorporating mind, body, and spirit.
When my husband became ill with an autoimmune disease in 2006, it led me to search for other ways of healing on an even deeper level. I believed he could benefit greatly from a variety of other therapies in addition to his medication and traditional Western medical treatment. His doctors are amazing and there is no doubt that modern medicine saved his life, but there was more available to promote healing and overall wellness. I started researching Reiki, Acupuncture, and Ayurveda, and wanted to try everything first-hand alongside my husband.
I received my Reiki certification from The Reiki School and Clinic in Philadelphia, PA where I continue to develop my Reiki practice. The program at The Reiki School felt comfortable to me because each level is a 3-month program which really allowed me to develop gradually over time, and in a deeper sense.
I have always felt a deep bond with animals. I routinely volunteer in Philadelphia at PAWS and Street Tails Animal Rescue, giving Reiki to animals alongside other Reiki School graduates. I live in Phoenixville with my husband Paul, a dog Lilly, and two cats, Chessie and Collette.
Since I started practicing Reiki I feel so much more like myself. Reiki facilitates healing, relaxation, and can promote mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual balance and wellness. I am grateful to be given the opportunity to serve as a vessel for Reiki, and I am eager to share all of its benefits with others.

Brennan Healing Science Practitioner
For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to, inspired and intrigued by spirituality and human behavior. I’ve always had the strong desire to help others and I’ve followed my intuition in finding a profession that would most support that sentiment. I found my way to The Barbara Brennan School of Healing and my world completely changed.
After four incredible years of extensive energy healing training and personal transformation work, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Brennan Healing Science. Energy healing is a way to restore balance in our bodies and ourselves. Stress, disease, anxiety, worry, family or work cause blockages in our natural energy flow. An energy healing session releases the interruptions in your energy system, supporting health, wellness and a more vibrant life. Healing allows us to drop our habitual patterns so we can experience deeper states of inner peace and wellness.
The more I work with clients, the more I'm able to experience first hand how our mind, emotions, spirit and physical bodies are one. It's the most simple and complex thought. I'm truly in love with everything that this work consists of and am continually amazed by the depth of each person's unique journey. Whether you're experiencing physical dis-ease, too much stress, or feeling the weight of the unknown, I'm here to witness and support your process.
