Try a News Fast!

The 24/7 media is constantly bombarding us with information! Real news, fake news, one sided news, sensational news, corporate influenced news, anything to grab at our attention and pull at our heart strings.  

How are we supposed to find our center when everything is tying to pull us in different directions. Taking a break from the news can be an amazing way to get back to center which will ease anxiety, calm stress, and renew your spirits. 

I'm not saying that you should unplug and become uninformed about the state of the world. We are all in this together. However, a periodic news fast will give us clarity and help bring a certain ease and perspective back into our hearts and minds. 

The How-To is simple:

1. Decide to take a break from the news (radio, papers, magazines, internet news, conversations) for one to two days.

2. Note down how you are feeling and pay attention to any changes that you notice!

After your news fast, decide how you want to reintegrate the news back into your life. You may want to be more specific about your sources or limit your exposure.

And finally, remember to be the change you want to see in the world!
