Head Tied - ST 8

The meeting point of the Stomach (Earth) and Gall Bladder (Wood) channels with the Yang Linking Vessel.

Head Tied can help us when we are feeling emotional, mental, or spiritual turmoil; when we are exhausted and overwhelmed with stuck, undigested thoughts and emotions!

Physical Level Indications:

  • Splitting headache with chills and fever, dizziness, vomiting.

  • Dimness of vision, bursting eye pain, twitching of the eyelids, eye spasms.

  • Dyspnoea with agitation and oppression, hemiplegia.

This point helps to unburden the spirit when you are in turmoil and feeling like you are all tied up in knots.

Location:

At the corner of the forehead, about 4.5 anatomical inches from the centerline and.5 an anatomical inch within the anterior hairline.

How to Stimulate:

You can stimulate this point by gently massaging it directly with your finger for 30 seconds or until you are inspired to take a deep breath.
