Want to learn yoga and don’t know where to start?

In this four-week series, you will...

  • ...learn over 15 stationary poses, every class gradually building on the previous week’s instruction.

  • ...practice proper alignment, learn how to modify and use props,

  • ...experience a total mind-body practice that uses deep breathing and mindfulness to settle your mind and reduce stress,

  • ...understand how yoga can help with flexibility and balance while strengthening your whole body,

  • ...be prepared to join a regular Foundational yoga class (an all levels foundational Hatha yoga practice that combines basic movements with breathing) that will be offered in October.

  • ...most definitely learn something new about yourself!

Week 1: Yoga basics, Breathing and Dynamic Movement, Standing poses I

Week 2: Standing poses II, Supine poses

Week 3: Prone and Sitting poses

Week 4: Putting it all together- A Foundational Class 

Levels: This workshop is geared for a beginner yogi or an advanced practitioner who wants a review of foundational yoga. Beginners are encouraged to join!

What to bring: An open mind, comfortable clothes, a yoga mat if you have it (we have some), water, and a small towel (optional). We provide all the props.

Dates: Tuesdays 7 - 8 pm
9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15

Investment: $15 per class. We strongly suggest taking all 4 classes for an optimal experience of yoga. Space is limited to 8-9 so each yogi can get full attention and care.
