Spirit of the Point

Yang Support - GB 38

Jing-River and Fire point of the Gall Bladder (wood element) channel

Physical Level Indications:

  • One-sided headaches

  • Stagnation or pain in the chest or low back with a desire to sigh

  • Wandering pain or numbness affecting the joints and tendons

Emotional/Mental

  • Procrastination

  • feeling unmotivated and inactive

Spirit Level

This point can bring immense motivation, focus, and energy. This point can be helpful when we have made a decision, and have a plan, but don’t have the energy or momentum to put those plans into action.

Location:

On the lateral aspect of the lower leg, 4 cun (the width of five fingers) superior to the prominence of the lateral malleolus, at the anterior border of the fibula.

note: cun = anatomical inches, an inch that is relative to your body

How to Stimulate:

You can stimulate this point by gently massaging it directly with your finger for 30 seconds or until you are inspired to take a deep breath.
