Activating Calm - a 4 week supportive experience to release overwhelm & access your authentic power

Learn more 👇🏼

Activating Calm has made an enormous difference to my life and to my practice as a therapist.  Lance brought me back to my body!  While body-mind connections have long been important recognitions in the psychotherapy world, most of us are still very much in our heads, as are our clients.  Now I’m much more consciously starting a session with breathing, recommending bodywork, and someday when this plague ends I’ll model it.  Most importantly though, Lance reminded me to be a spacious, open learner, and showed me how valuable it is for me to work on my own muscle tension.  Spaciousness allows for more intuition and perception, and feels much better too!  Lance, I am in your debt and very grateful.  Your open, kind, affirming, funny approach to teaching is one I will carry within. - Susan H.

Lance’s thoughtful and well-structured course has improved the quality of my life in every aspect! I am experiencing more ease, patience, creativity, motivation and joy than I have in years. And the great thing is that all of the exercises are portable and accessible to us whenever/wherever we need a little more calm in our daily lives. I am also immensely grateful for the powerful sense of community created by the amazing beings on this journey. The level of compassion and awareness of each participant was inspiring and nourishing, and honestly a little surprising giving we are all remote, but sooo wonderful. Activating Calm is a gift to yourself that should not be missed! - Pauline, Boston

It’s not often that I can say I have been in a constant continuous blissful state. And yet with Lance’s Activating Calm series over a 4 week period, I have woken up each day with a smile on my face, joy in my heart and peace in my soul. The gathering of like minded individuals in community, the easy to access practices and the additional resources all have contributed to an amazing experience. I didn’t want it to end! I can’t wait for part 2. -Marion V.

More details 👇🏼

It has been said that the mind is a terrible master and a wonderful servant.

Did you know that It's normal to feel anxiety and fear, especially when faced with unknowns?

Our brains are terrific problem solvers (even when those problems are completely made up!). We have evolved over thousands of years with a brain designed to keep us safe and ultimately continue our species.

Have you experienced this?👇🏼

Our minds are able to make up lots of scenarios, especially worst-case scenarios in order to solve potential problems and keep us safe.

This gets overwhelming for our nervous system, and when put in the driver's seat often leads to activation of our flight or fight response and hormones that are all over the place.

When left unchecked this constant protection response leads to an anxious, distracted, and exhausted state.

a 4-week supportive experience

Activating Calm will expose you to your peers, powerful practices, and different perspectives.

Instead of simply giving you access to information (no need, it’s everywhere), Activating Calm is built around a supportive community. You and your fellow students will engage together in practices that will transform the way you hold yourself in the world.

the time is now

In this time of uncertainty and unknown, many of my patients, friends, and family (myself included) are experiencing new levels of overwhelm and stress.

I just saw a patient who has never experienced anxiety, say "oh, this is what anxiety feels like!"

To be honest, my nervous energy levels have been overwhelming lately. Even little things can trigger anxiety in me.

I know now more than ever that the wellness practices I have been fostering over the last 25 years; meditation, yoga,  breath-work, etc are life-savers for me right now. I want to share this with you.

we don't have to go it alone

Best of all, this journey is not a solo one. You will be along side your peers who are also seeking more balance and calm in our lives. Rest assured, our journey will take place in a private, safe and inclusive space where there is mutual respect and a wealth of support.

Through these practices, you will become aware that even in overwhelm, there is always a way back to peace and well-being.
